PICCABEEN BOOKSHOP

From books to trees
Our little bookshop proudly celebrated 20 years of community service in 2026.
Each year, Tamborine Mountain’s generous community donates thousands of quality second-hand fiction and non-fiction books, creating an ever-changing collection with something to interest readers of all ages and tastes.
Our enthusiastic team of volunteers sorts, cleans and shelves every donation into easy-to-browse categories, ensuring the shop is welcoming, well organised and a pleasure to explore. Regular visitors know there is always a new treasure waiting to be discovered.
Most importantly, every purchase directly supports Tamborine Mountain Landcare’s environmental work, helping to protect and restore local bushland, improve wildlife habitat, create ecological corridors and conserve the unique biodiversity of our mountain.
By shopping with us, you are not only giving a book a second life—you are also helping care for this beautiful mounitain.

With more than a dozen new titles in stock, there is something for everyone interested in the natural environment.
Explore guides to local native plants, frogs and birds, learn how to create habitat for butterflies and wildlife, or pick up a copy of Mangroves to Mountains—the indispensable guide to the native plants of
South East Queensland.
