ESME ENVIRONMENTAL PARK

Restored as a refuge for native plants and animals to near as practicable representative of the original forests on the plateau of Tamborine Mountain before the first settlers arrived in the 1850's
Local residents with the support of Beaudesert Shire Council started the project in 2000 and with the construction of the bitumen walking paths to specification for disabled access and interpretive signage ,considered the project complete.
In 2003 Tamborine Mountain Landcare inc. in agreement with Beaudesert Shire Council was invited to assume its management  and care for long term maintenance.
Through  the efforts and commitments of local residents and many other people giving support we feel we have achieved a worthwhile result and perhaps an encouragement to others.
