Site Description:

A valuable wildlife habitat, this land area was formerly a farm and is now owned by the Rainforest Trust. The Rainforest Trust owns parcels of land here on Tamborine Mountain for the benefit of natural preservation.

Tamborine Mountain Landcare together with Landcare members and nearby residents, Frank and Diane Coulter applied on behalf of the Rainforest Trust for a grant to fund works by subcontractors. The main objectives being to rehabilitate the natural forest. Volunteers also visit the site to enjoy planting and watch the transformation from weed overgrowth to native plant regrowth.

This site has now become another valuable component of the Corridors Regeneration Project.

The project demonstrates how our community have once again banded together to support our natural environment.

Special thanks to the Envirofund for funding, the support of Rainforest Trust and Frank and Diane Coulter for their donation of valuable time and effort.
