Project Sites
Tamborine Mountain Landcare's volunteers are currently managing the following sites:

MILLET PARK
Below Carey Pde cul de sac, North Tamborine

This site of 3.5 ha adjoins remnant rainforest on private properties. A creek flowing through the park contributes to Guanaba Gorge waterfalls. The regeneration of this area will extend the habitat of an identified lyrebird population. About 20% of the site is currently regenerated.

BOTANIC GARDENS
Forsythia Drive, Eagle Heights

The surrounding rainforest makes the Gardens unique and particularly attractive to visitors. It backs on to MacDonald section of the National Park and to the ecological corridor along Tamborine Creek that links up with the Ohia Court and Contour Drive sites. The rainforest of about 6 ha. has been restored and is now under maintenance. Future planting will extend the area. There is a walking track through part of the rainforest, and other educational walks are being planned.
