First Aid Training and Renewals -
Free for authorised members - 10% Discount for self funding Members.

It's almost twelve months since most site coordinators participated in First Aid Certification and it's time to book in for the next round of renewals. If you are not yet certified or it's been a few years, the full certification course is available on the same day.

I'm sure all attendees of last year would agree the training day proceeded very quickly with the facilitator's lively presentations, leaving a sense of confidence to handle many first aid incidents. So if you are considering, but a little hesitant, jump in and see for yourself how beneficial the training will be.

The local training and renewal session is set for Saturday, November 29th, so now is the time to confirm your booking.

Date: Saturday, 29th November 2008

Time: First Aid 8.30am to 4.30pm. CPR Renewal 8.30am to 10.30am

Location: Vonda Youngman Centre - 2 Knoll Road, North Tamborine

Certificates will be free for site coordinators or authorised members: Site coordinators or at least one nominated member of any project are required to hold a current first aid certificate. This includes at least one bookshop volunteer. So if you are a site coordinator or a person nominated as the certificate holder by the site coordinator, please register to attend and your certificate will be at no charge.

PLEASE NOTE: If you book directly and / or at your own expense with Accredited Training Company, you will need to mention that you are a member of Tamborine Mountain Landcare, so that the 10% discount will apply. The facilitator will bulk invoice TM Landcare and payment will be required by the attendee, directly to TM Landcare in advance.

IMPORTANT: You may participate at your own expense and claim the discount, but you will be required to confirm membership. So please notify Alan O'Neill at newsletter@tamborinemtnlandcare.org.au so that your booking reimbursement can be authorised with the management committee prior to the certification date.
