TM Landcare will launch Green Domain, a support program for private land holders on 28 July. Maybe your property is 1/4 acre block, maybe it is alarge 20 hectares: Landcare is interested in supporting you. On 28 July between 9 am and 12 information about Green Domain will be provided at the Public Library. Landcare will explain that Green Domain offers an overview of existing support plans for private land holders, an advisory service and even access to on ground support. Green Domain is developed by the Task Force Green Infrastructure Tamborine Mountain, with representatives of Beaudesert Shire Council, QPWS (National parks), SEQ-Catchments and Conservation Volunteers Australia. Bushcare Services will show a digital mapping system, similar to the program Landcare is installing at the moment. That mapping system will be made available for private land holders as well. In the afternoon during three workshops revegetation projects will be presented in guided walks: - 12 – 1 pm "Nature Refuge": the biggest project on private land on the mountain (meet at the gate of Numala, East end of Curtis Road) - 1.30 - 2.30 pm "The Corridor". Between 2 and 3 pm Landcare's Botanical Garden Team celebrates that stage 1 of the project (clearing, weeding and planting) has been completed. The walk/workshop starts at 1.30 at the car park, and will end at the celebration! - 3 – 4 pm: "Former Farm". An example of a revegetation project in progress (for three years) with successes and failures. Meet at gate of 74 West Road (enter West Road from Long Road). Check the details Saturday morning at the library, because due to weather or other reasons this program might be changed at the last minute. At 28 July many other activities for kids and adults will be organised as well, mainly at the library North Tamborine.
