Quolls & other critters

A live quoll is probably one of the visitors to Landcare's Community Awareness Day, 28 July at the Library North Tamborine. The Quoll seekers network will be present not only with a live quoll, but also with an invormation desk and a presentation at the library at 10 am. The presentation will be interesting for both kids and adults. The goal is raising awareness about these very interesting animals, which still live on Tamborine Mountain.
Hattie and the Backyard Critters is a puppet theatre show by Margie Row. Make sure you attend one of both performances, at 9.30 and 11.30. The show addresses issues of interaction between cats, dogs and wildlife.
Winners of the Backyard Critters Photo Competition will be announced at about 11 am, as will the winners of the Tiles for Trees competition.
Other activities include the presentation of a support programm for private land holders (Green Domain), guided walks/workshops on three mountain revegetation projects and celebration of completion of the first stage of the Botanical Gardens regen project.
The full programm is available on www.tamborinemtnlandcare.org.au, or at the Piccabeen Secondhand Bookshop (walkway near Forest Cafe, Main Street north Tamborine, 55451847).
