The jury of Landcare’s My Backyard Critters Photo Competition has selected winners in several categories.
On Saturday 28 July TM Landcare organizes a Community Awareness Day; at 11 am the winners will be announced. That will happen at the Car park in front of the Library in North Tamborine.
Other Landcare activities at the Library that day include a puppet theatre show about wildlife, between 9 and 12, and a presentation about quolls in the Library. Outside displays will be available, and Landcare invites local private land holders for the presentation of Green Domain. That program supports everyone interested in revegetation of their own property, regardless the size.
In the afternoon three guided walks will take place. At noon on Numalam (end of Curtis Road), at 1.30 through the rainforest of the Botanical Gardens (meet at the car park) and at 3pm at 74 West Road. Private land holders will learn about successes and pitfalls of revegetation activities on private properties. All activities are free.
